Matteo Soria, an Established Winery for Aromatic Moscato
Matteo Soria estate is located in the South-East part of Piedmont, on the top of Langhe hills. This prestigious land is mainly reserved for the cultivation of Moscato vines. The charming winery covers an area of 100 acres that spread all around the winery. The cultivation of unique grapes in the vineyards provides mesmerizing aromas and a breathtaking view of the estate.
Matteo Soria Winery, a Family-Oriented Tradition
Presently, Matteo owns the winery. Sebastiano Soria, the great grandfather of Matteo, found the estate and produced excellent wines. During the first years of the 20th century, Giovanni Soria, grandfather of Matteo, acquired the estate and continued his father’s work. He built a more prominent winery in 1960. Later in the 70s, Sergio, father of Matteo acquired the winery and turned it into a larger winery equipped with modern machinery. After graduating from a prestige oenological school, Matteo extended the winery and became the leading producer of Moscato D’Asti. In the year 2014, Matteo started building another winery, near the old one, to increase the space for various production processes.
A Paradise for Sparkling and Dessert Wines
Castiglione Tinella, the village where Matteo Soria Winery calls its home, has 92 % of its surface covered with moscato vineyards. Matteo Soria Winery could not have found a better place for its paradise of sparkling and dessert wines. They use modern oenological methods to maintain the aroma and flavor of their Moscato grape. They produce high-end sparkling wines along with luscious dessert wines. Presently, they produce approximately 400,000 bottles of Moscato D’Asti.
