I had a delightful 2 day stay with a friend in July. The accommodations were adequate & comfortable (the room was a little tight). The grounds, the location, the hosts, the breakfasts the dinners and the wine were all exceptional! We loved staying in the quiet & historical village of Provesende and had a beautiful walk into Pinhão for port tasting one day. Highly recommended if you have the opportunity to stay here. Don’t miss the dinner with wine tastings. It was a highlight!

10/10 hosts, extremely helpful in getting us a taxi here from Pinhão when there were none available in town. Daniella gave us a wonderful welcome and Manuel was a perfect dinner host. A fascinating family and property history that visitors are lucky to be able to enjoy thanks to Manuel and his family's gift for hospitality. June is an excellent time to visit. Supper-club style dining most nights with their own lovely wines and ports from the small on-site vineyard (which you can also walk in at your leisure, no tours necessary). Continental breakfast with local bread still warm from the village bakery and eggs to order. Also a swimming pool and wine shop on site. Located in the centre of the village of Provesende, which also has some cute bars and a restaurant within 2 mins walk. Great to come away from the main stops on the Duoro river to see rural life and stay in a part of local history at the top of the valley. Spectacular views.
