The Family with a Century-Long Winemaking Tradition
Offenstein Erben is a historic winery rooted in viticulture since 1883, founded by Wilhelm Offenstein, the great-grandfather of current winemaker Thomas Schumacher Junior. Located in the picturesque town of Holzstrasse in Eltville, this family-owned winery has proudly maintained its winemaking legacy for five generations.
Thomas Schumacher Junior, recognized as the Young Winemaker of the Year 2016/2017, along with his wife Tamara, has enhanced traditional winemaking practices while establishing new quality standards. Since 1998, the winery has also welcomed guests to its wine hotel, offering comfortable accommodations and engaging activities for visitors.
Quality Wines from the Heart of Rheingau

This commitment ensures the production of exceptional Riesling and Pinot Noir wines that are highly sought after. The family prioritizes sustainability, blending traditional methods with energy-efficient technologies to foster healthy vines and a thriving ecosystem.
