Podrumi Krešić Winery: A Gem on the Danube Coast
Podrumi Krešić Winery is nestled in the picturesque Sarengrad region of Croatia, along the stunning Danube Coast. This winery combines traditional wine-making techniques with modern innovations in its historic cellar. A new accommodation facility is currently being built, allowing guests to enjoy breathtaking sunsets over the Danube vineyards.
Vineyard Overview
Founded in 2006, Krešić Winery has expanded its vineyards across six locations in Slavonia and the Croatian Danube, covering approximately 18 hectares dedicated to grape cultivation. The winery produces a diverse range of wines, including two red varieties, seven whites, and delightful rosés, all crafted with care and precision.
Vineyards and Cellar
Respecting the environment, Krešić Winery cultivates a variety of grapes naturally. Notable varieties include Graševina, Silvanac Zeleni, Pinot Sivi, Traminac, and Rajnski Riesling, along with unique selections like Chardonnay, Frankovka, and Cabernet Sauvignon.
The winery launched its first wine in 2011 and has since significantly increased its production capacity. The cellar features high-quality oak barrels and barriques, complemented by a selection of archival wines. A fermentation room equipped with stainless steel tanks and advanced cooling technology ensures optimal wine quality. Additionally, the cellar includes a tasting room housed in a bunker built during World War II, offering a unique atmosphere for wine enthusiasts.
