Generations into Winemaking

The count of the generations of winemakers of the Ziantoni family is lost over time. Originating from the thriving Roman hills of Marino, we have always made wine in our life. In fact, the production of this nectar does not represent a job for us, but our existence and daily life, we have only changed the scenario. In 1972, Ovidio Ziantoni moved from Lazio to the well-suited Tuscany, where he enriched his tradition as a grower and processor of white grapes, with the production of the fantastic red ones, which so distinguish our territory. The land, particularly suited for vines, immediately convinces Ovid and the small country church, close to her home, conquers Gina, making her feel at home. Confident for this new beginning, they will adopt the church as their distinctive corporate symbol.

An Estate in Touch with Nature

From here began our adventure as San Luciano, a splendid property located on the gentle hills of Monte San Savino, in the fertile Val di Chiana. Generations are continuing to follow each other, still maintaining the same passion and philosophy. Up today, the company is run by the sons Marco and Stefano, together with his wife Eleonora and the next generation, the grandchildren, who are taking their first working steps. Ours is a family-run business and in our opinion it is essential to bring producers together with enthusiasts and the curious of the world of wine, because this handshake can only give rise to an advantageous knowledge for both: the possibility of explaining how the wine is born and matures, the passion we put into it and the satisfaction on the faces of the people who taste it is the strength, which keeps us going. For those who want to come, we will open our house, to taste our reality. Usually, Stefano and Eleonora take care of the tastings, depending on the commitments and availability.

Absolutely amazing. Stefano welcomed us even though we came unannounced on a Saturday evening. No pressure and full wine tasting with background and details. I recommend you book a 2h tour of the plantation because you can't have one without it.

We arrived without an appointment and were graciously greeted by Stefano, the wonderful owner. He generously guided us through a delightful wine tasting, where each selection was so exceptional that choosing was difficult due to our limited transport cpabilities. Stefano’s passion showed as he shared the fascinating story of his organic winery, and he went above and beyond by offering excellent restaurant recommendations. An absolutely unforgettable and heartwarming experience!

A wonderful place with very nice owners. Eleonora talks in an incredibly interesting way about the whole process of wine making and almost all the nuances connected with it. There are also some anecdotes. A very pleasant meeting, an interesting history of the place, delicious wine, everyone will find something for themselves and you will not leave empty-handed. Grazie mil!!!

Hello, my partner and I were on our honeymoon. We were in transit between Rome and Florence. We visited this vineyard which gave us a very warm welcome. We were able to taste the wines. We left with two cases and advice for lunch in nearby restaurants. I highly recommend
