Villa inside the Winery
At Montalbano lie vineyards, hosted as the sacred at the time of the Etruscans. Villa Medicea was built in 1596 at the behest of Grand Duke Ferdinando I de Medici. The design of the villa introduced by Bernando Buontaenti, the villa named La Feerdinanda. Based on the theme of a hunting lodge, the villa was completed in just four years. The villa has many generations living, and most of them have done incredible work in other fields of education.
The First and Unique DOCG in Tuscany
Carmignano is considered as the Medici family wine and it has been the first and unique DOCG in Tuscany. Carmignano and Chianti are the classification of the wines. The Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Trebbiano, Malvasia Toscana, Syrah, and Gamay are the varities of grapes cultivated here.
