Located in the picturesque municipality of Lucignano, Tenuta Il Sosso is nestled between the provinces of Arezzo and Siena, in one of Italy's most enchanting villages. The estate is set on a gentle hill, surrounding the stunning Casale Leopoldino, a historical gem dating back to the late 18th century.

A Family Legacy in Winemaking

Since 1965, the Ravaglioli family has passionately cultivated the vineyards of Tenuta Il Sosso, dedicating three generations to the art of winemaking. Their commitment to quality and environmental sustainability is evident in every bottle produced.

Tradition Meets Innovation

Spanning approximately 45 hectares, with 27 dedicated to vineyards, the estate is perfectly positioned to yield high-quality grapes rich in color and aroma. The vineyards primarily feature native Tuscan varieties such as Sangiovese, Colorino, Canaiolo, Malvasia, and Trebbiano, alongside international grapes like Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and Viognier.

Our Wines and Olive Oil

At Tenuta Il Sosso, we produce four red wines (two aged in wood), a rosé, and two white wines, including one vinified in amphora. Guests can also savor our extra virgin olive oil and Vinsanto, showcasing the rich flavors of our region.
