Tenuta Muscazega - Historic Winery located in the middle of Gallura

Tenuta Muscazega is a historic winery located in the middle of Gallura in north-east Sardinia, between the Nuchis and Lura municipalities. It covers around 40 hectares and is surrounded by the streams of San Paolo and Minnisio. The Gallura is very beautiful and is famous worldwide for international tourism. One can go on many beautiful trips from Gallura to explore the history and traditions of the place.

Renovation of the Winery

Gallura has the Costa Smeralda in the Arzachena municipality, while one can see the Maddalena Archipelago from the east coast. The territory is rich in environmental, artistic, and historical heritage and is worth a visit. The old winery Muscazega dates back to almost the early 19th century, and the owner renovated it in 2006 to pay tribute to the unique land and produce wines of great character and quality. Apart from this, the winery is also associated with the Wine Tourism Movement.

Tenuta Muscazega is known to make Nebbiolo IGT and Vermentino DOCG wines.

The Vermentino DOCG is known for being one of the best and purest white wines in Sardinia.

The microclimate and soil of the region are ideal for cultivating vines. The vineyards are planted with Vermentino and Nebbiolo grapes for their red and white wines. All the work in the vineyards is done manually, and grapes are handpicked one by one. The wines have an intense aroma and a great fruity taste and character. Their estate also has two guesthouses to accommodate visitors that overlooks the Limbara Hills and the vineyards.
