Tenuta Muscazega - A Historic Winery in the Heart of Gallura

Located in the picturesque Gallura region of north-east Sardinia, Tenuta Muscazega is a historic winery nestled between the municipalities of Nuchis and Lura. Spanning approximately 40 hectares, the estate is bordered by the serene streams of San Paolo and Minnisio. Gallura is renowned for its stunning landscapes and attracts international visitors eager to appreciate its rich history and traditions.

Revitalizing Tradition

Gallura is home to the famous Costa Smeralda in the Arzachena municipality, with the breathtaking Maddalena Archipelago visible from the east coast. This area boasts a wealth of environmental, artistic, and historical treasures. The original Muscazega winery dates back to the early 19th century and underwent a thoughtful renovation in 2006, honoring the unique terroir and focusing on producing wines of exceptional character and quality. The winery is also proud to be part of the Wine Tourism Movement.

Exceptional Wines

Tenuta Muscazega specializes in crafting Nebbiolo IGT and Vermentino DOCG wines. The Vermentino DOCG is celebrated as one of the finest and purest white wines in Sardinia.

The region's microclimate and soil conditions are ideal for vine cultivation. The vineyards are planted with Vermentino and Nebbiolo grapes, with all vineyard work performed manually, ensuring that each grape is handpicked. The resulting wines are known for their intense aromas and vibrant fruity flavors. Additionally, the estate features two guesthouses that offer stunning views of the Limbara Hills and the surrounding vineyards, providing a perfect retreat for wine enthusiasts and travelers alike.

This estate is a corner of paradise on Gallura land!! Breathtaking view of the Limbara mountains! The wines 🍷 all, from Vermentino to rosé to red, are excellences of this wonderful territory. What else can I say...Mrs. Laura is a phenomenon! Katia creates spectacular aperitif platters from scratch! In short, everything was perfect! Visit the Muscazegaa estate you won't regret it!

Nebbiolo with excellent structure and quality. Thanks to Piedmontese domination in the nineteenth century, this highly valuable vine spread. Today one of the best wines of all can also be appreciated in beautiful Sardinia. Congratulations to Mrs Laura who I had the pleasure of meeting, the production of the estate is very interesting and the products are excellent.
