The Tenuta Palazzona di Maggio- Winery situated in the Magical Emilia Romagna Wine Region of Italy
The Tenuta Palazzona di Maggio Winery and Estate is situated in the magical Emilia Romagna wine region of Italy. The winery sits in the hills of Ozzanno Emilia, midway between Bologna and Imola. The story of the Tenuta Palazzona di Maggio winery dates back to the 1960s when the first Sangiovese vines were planted. Since then, four generations of the Perdisa family have cultivated the land with the deepest respect for nature. This has resulted in the production of the highest quality wines that embrace both technology and tradition.
Organic Wines
The wines produced by the winery are all organic and made exclusively from the grapes grown on the Tenuta Palazzona di Maggi land. The vineyards are all worked manually and by hand from the winter pruning time to the harvest season. The vineyards of Tenuta Palazzona di Maggio are managed by the young Federico Perdisa who maintains a 360-degree approach meaning that he uses natural and innovative phytosanitary products made from clays, volcanic rocks and diatoms in place of copper.
Award Winning Wines
The wines produced by the Tenuta Palazzona di Maggio Winery and Estate form part of the Colli D’Imola DOC and the varietals grown on the land are Sangiovese, Chardonnay, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. These are used to produce a wide range of award winning red, white, rose, sparkling and dessert wines.
