Weingut Gehring, located in the heart of Rheinhessen, has embraced the cultivation of indigenous grape varieties, steering clear of the more commonly known international grapes. Established in 1998, but with roots dating back to 1959, this family-owned winery has thrived through four generations, consistently producing exceptional wines. Nestled in a picturesque setting, Weingut Gehring has built a reputation for quality and craftsmanship over the years.

Tradition and Quality Passed Down Through Generations

The winery takes pride in its rich heritage, crafting wines that reflect a legacy of cooperation and expertise. Each wine is produced in renowned vineyards, aged in stainless steel and hardwood barrels, and refined by a skilled winemaker to achieve unique flavors. The estate wines feature a simple gray label adorned with symbols of a spear and ring, mirroring the straightforward nature of the wines. In contrast, the high-quality wines are presented with a white label that showcases vine buds, symbolizing their vibrant character. These wines are robust and suitable for long-term aging.

One of the Few Producers of Kosher Wines

Weingut Gehring stands out as one of the select wineries authorized to produce Kosher Certified wines. Their Kosher offerings, along with a variety of other wines, have garnered a loyal following, even among those who may not typically enjoy wine. By focusing on indigenous grape varieties, the winery creates limited quantities of Kosher wines that are celebrated for their quality and taste.

We were looking for a parking space at short notice. When we came across the winery we were hugely impressed. Even the driveway gives you the feeling of being in Tuscany. A wonderful place in a quiet location surrounded by vineyards. The restaurant offers typical food from the country which was perfect in terms of price-performance ratio. The food was A in a great location, we will definitely be back. On a side note, it should be mentioned that if the current collector is over 6 amps, the fuses cover the rest of the place shoot out. So please think about this before there is any stress with your fellow campers. We weren't the ones to blame, but we were the ones who suffered. So please, dear fellow campers, be considerate of your fellow human beings
