Founded in 1959 by Nikolaus Jakoby, the winery has evolved into a thriving estate now managed by the third generation: Erich, Rita, Peter, and Stefan Jakoby. With 11,000 acres of vineyards, Weingut Jakoby-Mathy produces around 30,000 bottles annually, distributing them across eight countries and throughout Germany. The vineyards, located behind the village, thrive in the rocky slate soils of Kinheimer Hubertuslay and Kinheimer Rosenberg. The winery specializes in Riesling and Pinot Noir, offering a diverse selection of red, white, rosé, sparkling, and dessert wines.
