Weingut Thomas Bischmann in Wintersheim
The Thomas Bischmann winery is in the middle of Worms and Mainz in the Rheinhessen part of Germany. They believe that for making good wine, there has to be a connection and harmony with nature. This led to Bioland certification for the company since the 2017 vintage. If you are interested in their work, you can book a tasting and spend the night in their vacation apartment. To sum everything up, the winery combines indulgence with
responsibility and passion for visitors.
Organic farming at the winery
The winery strictly works using organic and sustainable techniques for viticulture. Proper care of the vineyards is vital to make good wines. Fertilization takes place with chicken manure, and vineyards are kept weed-free mechanically. Some strict rules and regulations are followed by the staff to keep up with standards. Burgundies, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Cabernet Blanc, Müller-Thurgau, Gewürztraminer, Ortega, Dornfelder, and Portugieser grow here.
Top Rheinhessen wines
Red, white, and rose wines are made here. Apart from these, sparkling wines, sparkling grape juice, grape juice, pickled grape leaves, spirits, etc., are also produced. All non-alcoholic products are sold by the company under the Traubenstreichler brand name. Thomas and Sara Bischmann run the estate with their kids and host guests to the estate. Riesling and Burgundy wines are the main products here that reflect winemaking heritage of the region. Plan a trip here with friends and family soon.
