Great Escapes with Wines

Everything happens for a Riesling in the steep slope paradise of the Mosel!

Taste the worlds best Riesling and experience the must visit magical Mosel valley and its wine route while being chauffeured in comfort on a personal grape escape. The highlights of this tour will be going into the vineyards and meeting the makers as you taste Riesling in all its glory; from bone dry to more complex late harvest styles. You will also taste cracking sparkling wines, Pinot Noir and if you like natural wines which are lesser known secrets of the region.

On a full day tour my aim is to show you a mix of diverse, quality and sustainable Mosel wineries from traditional international renowned estates to smaller boutique winemakers. After all the wine tasting you will definitely need a lunch break or if you prefer a Picnic on the go / with a vineyard view. I choose local cozy restaurants that offer a seasonal menu of wine tapas and local delights with of course some more wine.

What is offered in a full day Grape Escape to the Mosel:

I offer convenient hotel pick and drop off in the Mainz or Mosel area. Pick up is usually around 10 and we return around 5:30. Frankfurt pickup is possible on request.
A detailed introduction into German wine, going behind the scenes and into the vineyards. Meeting the makers
3+ wine tastings where you will sample more than 30+ wines. All tasting fees are included
On our drive out to the first tasting we will start with a something fizzy to get the taste buds ready for a grape day of wine
As people get a little peckish I offer some baked snacks along the way.
Lunch included - Let me know if you have any dietary requirements.
Depending on group size you will be chauffeured in a BMW or VW comfort line van.
I offer top quality german sparking water or still water along the way, coffee when needed.
A fun english speaking guide who is WSET qualified and knows the regions and its winemakers.

Pick up locations flexible, the best place to start and make the most of the day is Mainz, Bacharach, Trier ( on request), Cochem, Bernkastel, further out Frankfurt ( on request)

I aim to keep tours personal & small group. An additional supplement maybe required based on seasonal demand if you want a private 2 person tour.
