Get to know star gastronomical products

In this experience clients will get to know two of the star products of our gastronomy, Idiazabal cheese and Txakoli wine.

We will start the day heading to a rural area where we will visit a local cheese producer and the clients will be able to learn how it is made and they will see the typical LATXA sheep up close. This cheese is very appreciated by Basque, and in the competition held every year to select the best cheese, the price of a half cheese can go over 5000 euros.

Later we will take the road that will take us to the coast, specifically to Guetaria, where we will visit a local txakoli wine producer who makes wine in a traditional way using the Hondarrabia Zuri and Hondarrabi Beltz grape varieties and who will tell us the details of the winemaking process During the visit, clients will be have the possibility of tasting several wines.

Guetaria is very well know for different reasons… beside being the birth place of Juan Sebastian Elcano and Cristobal Balenciaga, grills can be seen at almost any corner of the town. We will taje advantage of all that, to stop for lunch and enjoy a charcoal grilled fish at a typical local restaurant.

Once finish with lunch, we will head back to San Sebastián, along the wonderful coastal road
