My love for hospitality and tourism began at a young age, and my experience spans over two decades. Yet, my true passion lies in wine and the unique stories it tells. This journey started as I organized exclusive Port wine tastings and traditional meals for my hotel guests in Porto. I wanted to offer them more than just flavors—I aimed to share the soul behind each glass.

As I immersed myself in the world of wine, I was deeply moved by the contrast between small, family-run producers and the big brands found in Porto’s Port Wine Cellars. I witnessed the struggles of these small producers, their unwavering dedication from vine to wine, and the immense love they poured into their craft. Their passion inspired me to take my guests beyond the ordinary and showcase something truly special.

In 2012, I co-founded Cooltour Oporto and began organizing tours to the Douro Valley, a region of breathtaking beauty and rich winemaking heritage. These tours were designed to share my connection to the Douro Valley and its wines. Through them, I introduced travelers to small producers—the true heart of the Douro Valley—families who pour generations of tradition into every bottle. Guests immediately felt the difference, not just in the wines but in the authenticity of the experience.

Today, Cooltour Oporto continues to offer intimate, small-group tours that create meaningful connections between guests, local producers, and the land itself. Sustainability is at the core of everything we do, from supporting local communities to celebrating the Douro Valley’s culture, gastronomy, and history.
