Shumi Winery invites you to learn about the rich history of winemaking in Georgia, with a special focus on the traditional Qvevri method. This ancient technique involves fermenting wine in large clay vessels buried underground, resulting in unique flavors and aromas. During your visit, you can taste a variety of wines, including the refreshing Qvevri Sparkling wine and Zigu, a delightful blend made from over 300 grape varieties. In addition to wine tasting, guests can visit the Shumi Wine Museum, which showcases the art and science of winemaking. Don’t miss the chance to shop for exclusive products, including the renowned Genesis wine, crafted from grapes sourced from a 300-year-old vine. The estate features several dining options, including restaurants and cafes, many of which offer outdoor seating with stunning views of the surrounding landscape. Whether you're a wine enthusiast or a casual visitor, Shumi Winery provides a memorable experience that highlights the beauty and tradition of Georgian wine culture.

In an environment designed for tourists (let's not kid ourselves) with lots of Instagrammable spots, we found one of the best wine tastings we've ever done. The wines were spectacular and the attention and explanations were on par. Thank you very much!!!

A beautiful and atmospheric place. The tour is short, about 30 minutes, and costs 10 GEL (without tasting, paid separately). I didn't like the winery restaurant: I ordered a kebab, the meat wasn't marinated and was barely chewy. Although the people at the neighboring tables said they liked everything and that everything was delicious.

A very cool place! Beautiful vineyards, a delicious restaurant and a very hospitable manager Beka (greetings from St. Petersburg). He became for us a kind of guide of this wonderful place. Thanks to him, we tasted a number of delicious wines, learned the history of their creation and almost attended a festival in the middle of the vineyards! Cool place. Especially at the time of RTVELI. I definitely recommend it. - elegantly decorated areas for photos, textured straw hats - beautiful and touching.

We had an absolutely amazing time at Shumi! From the moment we entered the wine museum, we were immersed in the rich history and culture of winemaking. The wine tasting was a true highlight, with a wonderful selection of wines that showcased the unique flavors of the region. Strolling through the vineyard was a peaceful and beautiful experience, and we loved learning about the different grape varieties. One of the most memorable parts was the opportunity to cook traditional national dishes. It was such a hands-on way to experience the local culture, and the warm hospitality made us feel like part of the family. The entire experience at Shumi was a perfect blend of history, culture, and culinary delight, all wrapped up in the national spirit. We can't wait to come back!
