A visit to the historic Tenuta di San Fabiano, owned by the Borghini Baldovinetti de' Bacci Counts, is a unique experience that allows you to retrace the history of this noble family, which has always been linked to the winemaking tradition of the Arezzo area. The first document proving the existence of vineyards on the property dates back to 1452, and concerns the sale of a vineyard by Francesco de' Bacci to finance the frescoes in the family chapel by the painter Piero della Francesca, The Legend of the True Cross in the Church of San Francesco in Arezzo. The tour takes you on a discovery of the vineyards and the cellar, located about 1 km from the Medici walls of Arezzo, which give life to the fine wines of San Fabiano. The visit includes a tour of the cellar + tasting of 3 wines + tasting of extra virgin olive oil + a platter with a selection of cured meats from the Villani company in our "Cantinetta del Conte". The experience is enriched with a visit to the historic park of the Castello di San Fabiano.

The grapes of summer 2015 are a great vintage to be enjoyed today of this wonderful Tuscan vineyard tucked away in Arezzo. It was a very hot summer, one to be remembered by many during our visit.

The beat wine tasting experience I have ever had. Claudia is first class and treated us like family. The owner of the winery also made an appearance. Incredible!
