Down the Wine Road
How about 10 wines in one day? Our first stop is at a boutique winery that has recently opened its doors to the public. We will visit the vineyard and the cellars, learn about growing grapes, harvesting, winemaking and how to judge a wine by several characteristics. 5 Premium wines and charcuterie platters are waiting.
We stop for lunch at Crama de Piatra, a scenic restaurant in the area that has a 100 year old cellar and prepares traditional food with a modern twist.
Our second visit is at Domeniul Aristiței, another boutique winery, where we will try wine made with a different philosophy and approach, but just as interesting and premium.

First class wine tasting
This was simply the best wine tasting tour ever. Ovidiu was a fantastic guide and very knowledgableable regarding the selected wines.
Highly recommended - it does not get any better than this.
I would like to give this more than 5 stars if this was possible.

Fabulous!! Ovidiu is the best!
We (my wife and I) cannot praise Ovidiu and his professionalism enough. He communicated with us constantly throughout the booking process making sure all was good for the day of the tour. On meeting Ovidiu, he greeted us with smiles and water for hydration as it was a very hot day. He told us what we will except on the tour, and we chatted constantly as we made the scenic drive into the countryside. He is very well travelled and easy to chat with which was great! The wineries we visited were fantastic, we’d have never found them ourselves Lol. The cheese, meat and fruit platters provided were delicious and plentiful too. After our first winery visit Ovidiu too us for a traditional Romanian lamb lunch and wow it was delicious. The meat super soft and tender and the roasted vegetables washed down with equally delicious local red and rose wine topped off an enjoyable lunch. We really enjoyed our time here but onto the second winery where we were greeted by a super friendly lady who when chatting with her you could feel the passion she had for her work. She took us around her vineyard, cellars and thereafter we sampled more wine. All in all Ovidiu is the best tour guide. We arrived a couple of days before a pre-booked river cruise but if we had more time, we would have loved to have booked him for further tours. Thank you so much Ovidiu for a wonderful and enjoyable day
