Foire du Vin de Patrimonio is one of the wine festivals that anchors the Corsica calendar, drawing both local visitors and international wine travellers each year. All the producers of the appellation — about 30 domains — open stands to present their reds (Nielluccio, related to Sangiovese), whites (Vermentinu) and sweet Muscats. Held in the village's historic centre with food stalls and music, at the foot of the Cap Corse mountains. Patrimonio became Corsica's first AOC in 1968, and the island now has nine appellations along with the broader Vin de Corse. Wine tourism on the island has grown strongly since the 2010s, with festivals concentrated in summer and spring around the main wine villages of Patrimonio, Calvi, Ajaccio and Porto-Vecchio.
