The History of Cascina Fontanette Winery

For nearly a century, our family has been dedicated to grape processing and the creation of authentic wines, rooted in a deep love for the land. Cascina Fontanette was established in 1920 and spans 8 hectares in the picturesque hills of Moscato d'Asti, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2014.

Authentic Wines of Santo Stefano Belbo

Nestled in the charming town of Santo Stefano Belbo, our winery benefits from a unique microclimate that has supported viticulture since the days of the Benedictine monks. We produce a variety of wines that reflect the rich heritage of this remarkable region, situated between the Langhe and the Monferrato hills. At our winery, you will find a warm and welcoming atmosphere, where you can learn about our wines and their history. Our products are available for purchase on-site or through home delivery.

Clean and Natural Products

Cascina Fontanette is committed to sustainability, utilizing clean energy and minimizing chemical use in our vineyards. We have completely eliminated herbicides, ensuring that our wines are as natural as possible. Some of our vines grow on steep slopes, requiring careful manual labor, which highlights the dedication to preserving the integrity of our land. Our vineyards not only produce exceptional wines but also tell the story of our region's rich agricultural heritage.

Very high quality and a lot of dedication to what we do. A passionate work by Mr. Franco, who illustrates everything very kindly. We had a day entirely dedicated to wine training, from aging in the cellar to bottling. Everyone respects the anti-COVID regulations. Very fair prices. I recommend avoiding going there on weekends, as it's too crowded. Enchanting place nestled in the greenery of the Langhe vineyards. Wonderful.

We thank Mr. Franco and his mother for the welcome, we took a tour first in the cellars and then in the vineyards. It was an interesting and very engaging experience thanks to the explanation and curious anecdotes that Franco told us. The tasting was very good both for the excellent products but above all for the excellent wine, you can feel all the passion for your work and the love for the territory! We will certainly have the pleasure of returning

We spent a very pleasant day at Cascina Fontanette in Santo Stefano Belbo, and we couldn't be more satisfied! We went with our children to participate in the grape harvest and they had a great time. The children were directly involved in the grape harvest: with bucket and scissors in hand, they cut the bunches from the vines and took them to a basin, where they enjoyed crushing the grapes with their feet, as if time. A unique, authentic and educational experience that thrilled them! After the harvest, we stopped for lunch: a platter of local products was rich and tasty, with fresh quality cured meats and cheeses, very good and abundant agnolotti and finally we concluded with a hazelnut cake which was nothing short of sublime, the all accompanied by two wine tastings that made everything even more special. To complete this day was a visit to the cellar, short but interesting, where the entire wine production process was explained to us with care and passion. It was fascinating to see up close how such an important product for this land is born and appreciate the work and dedication behind it.

Great place for wine tasting. The owners spent a lot of time taking us for a tour to visit the vineyard and to pick the grapes. They also put the effort in explaining us all the preserving and manufacturing processes. The wine tasting experience was wonderful - both the food and the wines were amazing. The owners were very friendly and welcoming. The wines there are of great quality and come with a surpringly low price. Their Nebbiolo, Barbera d'Asti, and Ebrezza, in my opinion, are the best.
