The Chateau de L’Hospital- Winery with the Best Organic wines of the Graves area

The Chateau de L’Hospital in the Bordeaux region is committed to making the best organic wines of the Graves area. With great respect for nature and the ecosystem, the winery uses modern, ecological, and sustainable methods of cultivation. They have been practicing organic farming since 2013, and since 2017, all of their wines made from 40 hectares of their vineyards are certified organic.

The organic certification was given to them by Ecocert. The aim of the winery is to practice sustainability and make wines that reveal all the qualities of their gifted terroir.

Use of Natural Products

The Castle is owned by Brigitte and Florent Battistella since 2012, who loved the property and bought it with the aim of restoring it and the vineyards to their days of past glory. The renovation of the castle was done at the end of December in 2017. It is also displayed on the wine bottles of Chateau de L’Hopsital. There is the use of natural products in the vineyards and the cellar. Fertilizers, pesticides, and other chemicals are not used. Their agricultural methods are checked by Ecocert to make sure they comply with the organic farming rules.

Other Facilities

Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Petit Verdot, Sauvignon Blanc, Sauvignon Gris, and Sémillon are the grapes in their vineyards. These are processed to make the organic red, white, rose, and dessert wines. Events can be organized in the beautiful castle, and there are deluxe rooms for the accommodation of visitors.
