A Family Legacy Crafting Exceptional Rhône Wines
Château Le Devoy Martine: A Rich Heritage Since 1881
Located in the picturesque Rhône Valley, Château Le Devoy Martine has been a family-owned winery since 1881. The Lombardo family, with roots in Sicily and France, has cultivated a deep understanding of winemaking over four generations. After leaving their winery in Tunisia, Joseph and Marc Lombardo were drawn to the unique terroir of the Rhône region. The estate, once owned by the Earl of Martine in the 13th century, was transformed from overgrown land into a thriving winery through the Lombardo brothers' dedication and passion for viticulture. In 2008, Veronique joined her father Marc, continuing the family tradition of producing distinctive and elegant wines.
Exceptional Grapes for Quality Wines
At Château Le Devoy Martine, the focus is on crafting wines that reflect both customer preferences and environmental sustainability. The estate's vineyards are home to a variety of grape varietals, including Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Cinsault, Carignan, Roussanne, Bourboulenc, Clairette, Vermentino, Ugni Blanc, and Muscat. Each grape is handpicked to ensure the highest quality for their red, white, and rosé wines. The Lirac Red wine is sourced from terraces with pebbly soil, while the Lirac White benefits from sun-drenched northern slopes. Their Lilac Rosé offers a delicate floral flavor, making it a perfect pairing for Mediterranean and Asian cuisines. Most wines from Château Le Devoy Martine showcase a harmonious blend of flavor and aroma, appealing to wine lovers and culinary enthusiasts alike.
