Nestled near the quaint village of Artigues, Domaine de la Mongestine is situated in the heart of the stunning Provence Verdon region. The estate boasts picturesque slopes ranging from 250m to 450m in altitude, with vineyards sprawling across 120 hectares. Since 2017, a dedicated winemaking team has been crafting exceptional wines that reflect the unique terroir of this beautiful area.

Organic Winemaking at Domaine de la Mongestine

The winery encompasses 30 hectares of vineyards, characterized by a clay-limestone base in the valley and stony soils at the hill's foot. The primary grape varieties cultivated here include Syrah, Grenache, Cinsault, Vermentino, and Grenache Blanc. Committed to organic farming practices, Domaine de la Mongestine prioritizes sustainability in their wine production. They age their wines on lees or in barrels, depending on the vintage. Their inaugural IGP Coteaux-du-Verdon Cuvée, harvested in 2017, features Roussanne, Pinot Noir, and Merlot, showcasing a particularly expressive and aromatic profile.

We invite you to discover the Domaine de Montgestine. A very friendly welcome, guided tour and detailed explanations of the different stages of work within the Estate. We had the chance to see the bottling. To finish, a tasting of the Aop Les Monges range and that of Bob Singlar which offers original wines. A nice visit 👍

Great experience at La Mongestine! The visit took us through the winery and behind the scenes of production, with very interesting explanations about the methods of winemaking. The tasting at the end of the visit was a real plus: the wines are top notch, each with its own character and finesse. If you don't know, it's highly worth finding out!

We chose the Mongestine area to get married and we are delighted! Whether it was us or the people around us, the opinion was unanimous. The place, located in the middle of the vineyards, the charm of the room, everything was there. No complaints, the owners listened to us and responded to our requests. Special mention goes to the caretaker Popkin, who knew how to respond to our requests on the day of the preparations and on the big day, always with a smile on his face. We more than appreciated his kindness.

They are doing things differently at Domaine de la Mongestine. Focusing on natural and biodynamic winemaking processes, the result is a variety of truly unique wines. Max definitely knows his stuff and he took us through a tasting of the full range of wines. The owner Harry was also very nice and took the time to answer our questions. The wine was so good we had to pay for a checked bag because we bought a few bottles home to London. Highly recommend!
