Nestled in the picturesque countryside of Rochefort Sur Loire, Domaine FL is a family-owned winery that spans 39 hectares across the renowned Savennières and Loire regions. Close to Béhuard and Angers, this estate not only produces exceptional organic wines but also offers a seminar room ideal for weddings and private events.
Founded in 2007 by Julien Fournier, Domaine FL combines the surnames of his parents, Fournier and Longchamps. Julien and his father, Philippe, honor the region's 800-year-old winemaking traditions while incorporating innovative techniques. The estate's historic half, Château de Chamboureau, was acquired by Philippe in 2006, marking the beginning of their expanded wine venture.
The Savennières region, with its 145 hectares of vineyards, is known for its unique terroir. Domaine FL specializes in the cultivation of Chenin Blanc and Cabernet Franc grapes, using only organic farming methods. Hand-harvesting ensures the quality of the grapes, which are then gently pressed. The winery employs stainless steel tanks and wooden vats for the optimal aging and refinement of their wines.

The two sales staff members welcome you, and sometimes the cellar master, who plays an important role in the production of the precious wines from our beautiful Chenin. Good wines from a relatively young winery. The only drawback is that I was surprised by the sharp price increase at "La Frémine" when I recently visited it—by almost 20%. I don't understand how such an increase can be justified.

We arranged a tour and tasting in English through the website of the Domaine. The young woman who gave us the tour (I'm sorry, I do not remember her name) spoke excellent English and answered all our questions about the wines. She also asked us what kind of tasting we were interested in doing, so we were able to taste wines that we were interested in buying.

Had a lovely tour by Emily. Great location, amazing view over the Loire Valley. Emily really took the time and effort to answer all our questions and tell us interesting facts on the winery. The property was beautiful and serene. Wines that we tasted were selected to our own preference. Thank you Emily!
