The Very Beginning

Our story begins in the charming village of Tohani, located at the base of Strehan Hill in the esteemed Dealu Mare wine region. After years of research, we uncovered pieces of our family's history and the unique charm of this site, now known as Strehan Estate. The deep connection we felt in this place, where both the vineyard and an ancient manor house stand, inspired us to restore its former glory.

Wines with the Flavor of Tradition

Situated in the heart of the renowned Dealu Mare vineyard, our estate has produced some of Romania's most celebrated wines over the years. The vineyard benefits from a Mediterranean microclimate, allowing for the growth of not only grapes but also almond and fig trees.

Wine cultivation here is a cherished tradition, passed down through generations. Historical documents from the 14th and 15th centuries, along with archaeological discoveries, highlight the long-standing significance of winemaking in this region. The exceptional natural conditions of the so-called ‘Wine Country’ have played a crucial role in the flourishing of this ancient craft.

The place is far for any reviews . Is the best experience in boutique winery I've ever been . Rares the big son of the owners of the winery is a awesome personality and great guest. The atmosphere is chilled and a lot of informations provided by the guide . Good luck in what they want to do in the future

The food and wines here are veeery good. And the portions generous. If you want beer, they have artisan beer. We were a group and had the table outside. Also they have tables inside and on the first floor a big terrace, where you can watch the sunset. The service was friendly and very helpful. Loved everything!

People, wine, food, location, design and music – a perfect combination, professionally put together by a wonderful family very committed to their own business! The wine, a Merlot of their own production, was matched to our pastrami and sarmale by Rares, the youngest sommelier in Romania trained in Milan :) The food was very tasty, delicious The decadent dessert – Dubai chocolate and almond reinterpreted with dark chocolate Coffee – a dream – original, medium roasted, aromatic I'm back with the wine, a Merlot – Strehan Winery, it rested a bit in the carafe before delighting our senses The smiling and friendly staff, the music – a balm for the ears – Bossa Nova ... The interior design and that of the terraces created a state of relaxation for me And I found many instagrammable spots in this place :) Thank you Domaine Strehan PS I also included a picture of the sommelier from the story

A dream place, ideal for an unforgettable weekend experience! The food is delicious - prime rib, lamb pastrami, sarmales, cakes and Dubai chocolate 😍😍😍 and the atmosphere is perfectly complemented by carefully selected music. Everything was top notch, from the dishes to the hospitality of the hosts. Rareș, the youngest and most talented sommelier I met, managed to make the glass of wine a special experience. I recommend with full confidence!
