Doran Vineyards – A Boutique Winery Established in 2008

Located on the Swartland border, just fifteen kilometers from Paarl and fourteen kilometers from Wellington, Doran Vineyards is a testament to the collaboration between Irish-born Edwin Doran and renowned South African winemaker Andre Badenhorst. Founded in December 2008, this boutique winery has quickly gained recognition for its premium wine production. By July 2011, the estate was fully developed, featuring a barrel hall, new cellar, workshops, and tasting rooms, all ready for the 2012 vintage.

A wonderful family-owned and operated vineyard less than an hour's drive from Cape Town. We had the most amazing afternoon touring the farm and seeing the various vineyards, as well as a very enjoyable tasting session of their best wines accompanied by delicious food. Skip the big names and make your way here, can't recommend Doran highly enough and you will not be disappointed.

We had a lovely girls' weekend at Doran Vineyards. The facilities in the cottage are top notch and the hostess went out of her way to make sure we have everything we need, including loads of wood for the hot tub! It's a working farm, so we had to deal with a lot of flies...but other than that, it's very enjoyable. Take everything you need, because it's not really close to a town.
