Dryridge Winery: A Hidden Gem in the Blue Mountains

Located in the picturesque Megalong Valley, Dryridge Estate is a charming boutique vineyard, one of only two in the Blue Mountains. The cellar door offers breathtaking views, where visitors can enjoy exquisite wines paired with delightful cheese boards and ploughman’s lunches, all set against the stunning backdrop of the mountains.

Host Your Dream Wedding Amidst Nature

As the only commercial vineyard in the Blue Mountains, Dryridge Estate has a rich history. Founded by the late Bob Tyrrell and his wife Barbara 15 years ago, the vineyard has flourished under the care of Emma and Simon, who are passionate about maintaining its legacy. Today, Dryridge is not just a vineyard but also a sought-after wedding and events venue. The clear-roof marquee provides an enchanting setting, allowing guests to enjoy uninterrupted views of the surrounding beauty.

For wedding parties and families, the winery offers beautiful accommodations in the Homestead and Sunset Lodge, perfect for relaxing and soaking in the serene country atmosphere.

The Sole Producer of Mountain Wine

Spanning approximately 51.4 hectares, Dryridge Estate features around 5 hectares of hand-tended vines, alongside grazing land, stunning waterfalls, and private swimming holes. As the only licensed producer of local mountain wine, Dryridge has set the standard for viticulture in the region. The vineyard cultivates a variety of grapes, including Riesling, Shiraz, Vermentino, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Tempranillo, Sangiovese, Barbera, and Cabernet. After harvesting, the grapes are sent to Orange for bottling and returned to the cellar door and online for sale.

We had our recent wedding at Dryridge and couldn't recommend it more highly. The location was absolutely stunning - it made the most beautiful setting for our ceremony, and of course amazing photos. Emma was absolutely incredible though the whole process, answering all our questions, and doing whatever it took to make sure we had the most perfect day. Thank you!

We recently had our wedding here at Dryridge and absolutely loved it! Emma is the warmest loveliest human being and was super responsive and very accommodating. Guests really loved the views and we were able to bring alpacas onto the venue which made for such a unique experience. The accommodation provided on site also made getting ready so much more chill and easier. It is a BYO venue which meant we were involved and we could really craft a unique experience for our guests. Emma was always on hand with trusty vendor contacts though so we never felt like we were doing it on our own. We were lucky to have such a great venue who looked after us and really made the day run so smoothly!

We visited the winery this weekend while we were in the area and booked a tasting last minute. The team was super accommodating! The drive to the winery is beautiful, and when we got there, the staff (and maybe the owner/manager) were really friendly. They gave us a cute table with an amazing view. The wines were so good, especially if you like dry wines. We ended up buying the Prosecco and Shiraz to take home. We also got the grazing charcuterie platter with our wine tasting, and it was such a nice experience. We’ll definitely come back again, maybe with a bigger group next time!

What a beautiful spot it is here. Staff are really helpful, we were a bit slow at the ‘wine tasting experience’ but they weren’t pushy at all and were happy to wait to give us the next round. Went home with one of the bottles too since they were so reasonably priced and delicious. It’s a lovely drive and definitely worth checking out.

We arrived 12.15pm to a warm welcome from Emma. We were seated on the top deck under cover which was our choice as we had our old dog with us. The views are stunning!!! The wine tastings were excellent - getting the story behind each wine is always added value. We ordered the Ploughman's Lunch which was delicious. As we two could not manage to clean up the serving for four - takeaway containers were supplied. Many thanks to Emma and her team for providing a venue for a beautiful day out. Highly recommended.
