Our Heritage
Estate Raptis has its roots in Leontio, Nemea, where the Raptis family began their winemaking journey over 50 years ago. Giorgos Raptis, a dedicated member of the Hellenic Association against grapevine phylloxera, laid the foundation for a business focused on quality and innovation. He established one of the first vine nurseries in Greece, providing high-quality American anti-phylloxera grafts. Today, the second generation, Christos and Helena, continue to uphold their father's vision, ensuring that quality remains at the heart of their operations.
Viticulture and Terroir
The family vineyard is situated in the renowned Nemea winemaking zone, encompassing various locations such as Aghia Paraskevi, Kefalari, Kamini, Achladies, Chalias, Stenoulia, Balta, Vathia Kanapitsa, Potami, and Amygdalies. The vineyard cultivates a diverse range of grape varieties, including Aghiorgitiko, Merlot, Syrah, Cabernet, Assyrtiko, Malvasia Aromatica di Candia, Roditis, and Moschofilero sourced from local producers in the PDO region of Mantineia.
The unique geographical features of the region, such as “Kokkinovrachos” (Red Rock) and “Mavri Spilia” (the Black Cave), add to the charm and character of Estate Raptis, making it a notable destination for wine enthusiasts and travelers alike.

The best winery!!!! Definitely recommend visiting the place but mostly try the first class wines especially Kokkinovrahos and Mavri Spilia. These wines travel you to secret places of your mind. Well done Raptis winery team!

From all winery points/estate I have been in that region ,Raptis was the most family based winery point.And for that it has my deepest Respect also it was the only one that was serving cheese during tasting!!!

From all winery points/estate I have been in that region ,Raptis was the most family based winery point.And for that it has my deepest Respect also it was the only one that was serving cheese during tasting!!!

An excellent estate just a few minutes from Nemea that everyone deserves to visit! The tasting room is amazing and there are many great labels to try. The guys are very nice, I highly recommend the Rosato label because it is my personal favorite

Amazing winery, just outside of busy Nemea. Very high quality wines and we were lucky for the great tasting by Dimitris and Argyris. With their knowledge they introduced us to the wonderful world of Nemea and its wines. Thanks guys and we will visit you again soon!!
