Combination of Conventional and Innovative Methods

The story of Semeli Estate began in 1979 in respect of the family’s old traditions. Following the forefathers’ footsteps, the owner today produces top-quality wines for consumers, made from the combination of conventional and innovative methods of winemaking. With respect for Nature, the cultivation staff focuses on both international and native grapes to deliver top-rated red and white wines, along with sweet rosé wines, all within Nemea’s and Mantinia’s winegrowing territories.

Agiorigitiko and Moschofilero Cultivation at the Winery

Semeli Estate’s family-owned hilly vineyards are expanded over an area of 250 acres in Nemea. The winery also gets its grapes from other viticulture farmers of Asprokampos, Kastraki, and Ancient Nemea to produce world-class red and white wines, together with delicious rose wines. Along with red Agiorigitiko, the family cultivates top-notch Moschofilero, handpicked during the harvesting season.

Only the best-selected bunches are moved to the cellar for controlled fermentation in large stainless steel tanks. The fermentation step is slow for keeping the aromas and organoleptic characteristics intact. Following that, the luscious wines are stored in wooden oak barrels as the wood enhances the taste of their vintages and finally aged and refined in bottles.
