Located at the gateway to Nemea, Domaine Bairaktaris is a modern winery dedicated to producing exceptional wines from the renowned Agiorgitiko grape. The Bairaktaris family has a long-standing tradition of vineyard cultivation, instilling a deep respect for the land and its produce in future generations. Their philosophy centers on the belief that high-quality wine begins with excellent grapes, which is why they focus on organic cultivation methods. Nestled in the Nemean plain, the estate benefits from a unique ecosystem, microclimate, and fertile clay soil, all contributing to the authenticity of their wines.

Vineyard Care and Cultivation

Domaine Bairaktaris spans 17 hectares, with 12 dedicated to red varieties and 5 to whites. About 85% of their grapes come from their own vineyards, while the remaining 15% is sourced from local growers, particularly for Moschofilero. The vineyards are strategically located across various microclimates, primarily on mountain slopes, ensuring optimal water drainage. This competitive growing environment, combined with deep root systems, results in lower yields but higher fruit quality. The Bairaktaris family emphasizes that meticulous vine care is essential for producing natural wines.

Modern Winery with Traditional Techniques

The winery features a welcoming reception area, a state-of-the-art production facility, and a cellar, all surrounded by the picturesque Agiorgitiko vineyards. The tasting room accommodates up to 50 guests, providing a space to savor their wines. Advanced vinification techniques and modern equipment are employed to highlight the unique characteristics of each grape variety. The cellar maintains consistent humidity and temperature, allowing red wines to age gracefully in bottles, oak barrels, or amphorae. Domaine Bairaktaris is committed to enhancing the cultural significance of vine and wine in collaboration with the Nemea wine estate.

Very good service!!!! Very good tour!!! The wines I tried were very good, but I highlighted: Terra Opus and Monolithos Red, which reminded me of well-known Italian wines (Chianti and Barolo - Barbaresco) because I have been going to Italy and drinking for 30 years. Very good quality!!! Well done!!!!

Very sweet presentation. The staff were kind, warm and welcoming. Especially with our 18 month child in tow. The wines were delicious and the lore very appealing. Thank you for a positive experience.

We made a reservation and visited the estate on Sunday afternoon. We chose the first wine tasting which contained 4 labels and cost €15 per person. We accompanied it with a variety of cheeses. Mrs. Dimitra who served us was kind, very approachable and very sweet. I recommend it.
