Franco Ivaldi winery is nestled in the picturesque landscape of Piedmont’s UNESCO World Heritage Site. With a commitment to crafting high-quality wines that reflect the region's unique characteristics, the Ivaldi family has a long-standing tradition in winemaking. Inspired by this heritage, Franco Ivaldi established the winery in 1995, alongside his son Giorgio and wife Caterina. Together, they produce exceptional Piedmontese wines that honor traditional methods and the local terroir.

Winery Philosophy and Terroir

Located in the Caranzano di Cassine area of Monferrato, the winery benefits from ideal viticulture conditions, thanks to its hilly terrain and limestone-rich soil. The region is renowned for its prestigious DOCs, making it a prime location for grape cultivation. The Ivaldi family practices meticulous viticulture, resulting in small yields of high-quality, ripe grapes. Each grape batch is vinified separately, and the wines are refined in wooden barrels, ensuring that every bottle reflects their dedication to quality from vineyard to bottle.

Franco Ivaldi winery cultivates a variety of grapes, including Moscato, Albarossa, Barbera, and Dolcetto, with Albarossa being a historic varietal that originates from a cross between Nebbiolo di Dronero and Barbera. The best grapes are handpicked to create a diverse range of wines, including red, white, rosé, sparkling, and dessert wines. Each wine boasts a distinctive flavor profile, showcasing the unique terroir of Piedmont.
