The Ladora- Winery providing Excellent Wines and Breathtaking Scenery and Views
The Ladora Winery is situated in the Dalat Highland region of the country of Vietnam – an unusual location compared to the more famous wine making regions of the world. The winery sits in one of Vietnams most beautiful mountainous regions in Dalat, providing not only excellent wines but also breath taking scenery and views.
The Ladora Winery today is the most popular wine estate in Vietnam as a result of its high quality premium wines, grouped under the brand name Chateau Dalat.
History of the Winery
The site where the Ladora Winery sits was previously owned and managed by the French colonists of Vietnam until the country gained its independence in 1976. Historically Ladora foussed on the production of liqueur, but this ended in 1998 when the first vines were planted and the estate turned completely to the production of fine wines.
The Climate and Grape Varieties
The grape varietals produced by the Ladora Winery are Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot, Chardonnay and Cardinal. These grapes are use to make a wide range of fantastic red, white, sparkling and dessert wines. Growing grape vines in the tropical climate of Vietnam means that the vines are conducive to downy mildew and a lack of vine dormancy. Despite this, Ladora has managed to achieve the highest quality of wines using European farming standards and the oversight of world renowned wine making experts. The most popular wines produced at the Ladora Winery are the Chateau Dalat Traditional Merlot and the Nouvo Sangria White Wine. Both have received high praise from wine drinkers across the globe.
