Vineyards in a Scenic Setting
Surrounded by 160 hectares of lush vineyards, Quinta da Almiara benefits from ideal growing conditions. The region's unique climate, characterized by temperature variations and the influence of the Atlantic, creates a perfect environment for vine cultivation. All wines are crafted exclusively from grapes grown on the estate, ensuring authenticity and quality.
Grape Varieties and Winemaking Techniques
The vineyard features a diverse selection of grape varieties, including Touriga Nacional, Alicante Bouschet, Castelão, Merlot, Aragonés, Caladoc, Syrah, and Fernão Pires. The best grapes are handpicked to create premium wines. Recently, the winery underwent renovations, incorporating state-of-the-art equipment for grape processing. With a storage capacity of around 4 million liters in stainless steel tanks, the winemaking process emphasizes minimal intervention, resulting in wines that are fresh and aromatic.

Great experience! Rosa takes the time to explain to you with passion their art, and the environment and wines are delightful! Reserve ahead if you want to be sure, but they welcome walkins with open arms.

It was our first wine tasting and we couldn't have wished for a better experience. Rosa was an experienced guide and knew how to answer even our difficult questions. We were able to taste very good wines. Thank you for a very nice day!

Local lindo e visita maravilhosa. Fizemos uma visita guiada com degustacao de vinhos e aperitivos no final. Nossa guia foi maravilhosa - Rosa, muito simpatica e explicando tudo para meu pai com calma. Meu pai é cadeirante and conseguiu fazer toda a visita, o local tem bastante acessibilidade. Ficamos encantados, super indico.

Such a great experience. The tour by Rosa was very informative and passionate. After the tour we did an exceptional wine tasting with amazing local cheeses and Almiara’s fantastic cod cakes. And the wine! It was so, so good. We purchased several bottles. We will definitely bring all guest here for a visit.
