Surrounded by 160 hectares of lush vineyards, Quinta da Almiara benefits from ideal growing conditions. The region's unique climate, characterized by temperature variations and the influence of the Atlantic, creates a perfect environment for vine cultivation. All wines are crafted exclusively from grapes grown on the estate, ensuring authenticity and quality.
Grape Varieties and Winemaking Techniques
The vineyard features a diverse selection of grape varieties, including Touriga Nacional, Alicante Bouschet, Castelão, Merlot, Aragonés, Caladoc, Syrah, and Fernão Pires. The best grapes are handpicked to create premium wines. Recently, the winery underwent renovations, incorporating state-of-the-art equipment for grape processing. With a storage capacity of around 4 million liters in stainless steel tanks, the winemaking process emphasizes minimal intervention, resulting in wines that are fresh and aromatic.
