A Small Winery Making A Big Impact
It is one of the smallest wineries along the Tuscan coast, tending carefully to its grapes on the meticulously attended 3 hectares situated just down the coast from Livorno a stone’s throw from the Cecina River. The winery may be small, but it is making a big splash, holding rigorously to biodynamic and non-interventionist principles in its wine making, and choosing a rather novel á la carte menu of wine styles you won’t find in many other wineries in this area. Here, French grapes rule, and you can choose between two Bordeaux-blend reds, a varietal sauvignon blanc, or why not try a summer favorite – the sparkling rosé made from Merlot and Petit Verdot?
How the Winery Came to Be Found
The winery is founded by Letizia, with a doctorate in Environmental Science, and Christian, an experienced oenologist. Together, they are able to produce fresh and novel wines, that express both their winemaking ambitions as well as the terroir and particular qualities of the natural beauty surrounding the vineyards.
An Intimate Ambience
The winery has an intimate and cozy cantina for its wine tastings. Sit back and relax in the verdant greenery of the shrublands surrounding the vineyard, feel the salt hints from the sea waft through the air, and enjoy a unique wine experience at one of Tuscany’s hidden gems
