Weingut Bürgermeister Schweinhardt – Winery Located in the Charming Nahe Region
Nestled amongst dense forest, Bürgermeister Schweinhardt Winery is situated in the winegrowing hamlet of Langenlonsheim. The charming village boasts great tourism, which includes hiking, bicycling, and many more adventurous activities. Wonderfully surrounded by panoramic scenery, the Rhine Valley of the Nahe is the home of estate-owned vineyards, producing the highest quality grapes.
Medieval Architecture and Replanting a Large Area of Langenlonsheimer Rothenberg
The cellar of Weingut Bürgermeister Schweinhardt is located in a medieval building built in 1827, the Kuhkapelle. Weingut Bürgermeister Schweinhardt has been making wine in the Nahe for 350 years. Throughout the years, the former owners had run the winery with the utmost dedication but as Axel Schweinhardt, the current owner, replanted a large area of Langenlonsheimer Rothenberg the quality of the estate improved immensely. In 2008, he also established new cross terraces in Langenlonsheimer Königsschild and expanded the estate’s winemaking capacities.
Grapes Grown at the Winery
The range of wines at the winery is extensive. Weingut Bürgermeister Schweinhardt cultivates top-notch Burgundian vines, such as Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, along with other high-quality grapes varietals such as Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Muskateller, Kerner, Merlot, and Dornfelder. After selective handpicking, luscious red, white, and sparkling wines are produced. The winery also boasts their award-winning dessert and rosé wines, made from grapes grown in both the Middle Rhine and the Nahe regions.
Bürgermeister Schweinhardt also owns a bed and breakfast – Heinrichs. Overlooking the magnificent countryside, the guesthouse is blessed with well-furnished and spacious rooms. All the rooms are equipped with modern facilities, keeping in mind the comforts of modern guests. Tourists can experience a unique wine tasting while walking around the guesthouse, enjoying every aspect of the natural beauty.
