P.Stettler-Söhne – Mosel Winemaking History Since 1649

Near the edge of the Mosel River, P.Stettler-Söhne Winery is located in the charming historic wine village of Lieser, a short drive away from Bernkastel-Kues. The estate is a family-owned business that organizes tasting for up to 100 people. For guests interested in an overnight stay, the winery owns a B&B – Hotel Weinhaus Stettler, surrounded by lush landscapes and dramatic views.

Conventional Viticultural Methodswith Modern Cellar Management

Established in 1649, the winemaking family of P.Stettler-Söhne has preserved the ancestral traditions generation after generation to deliver the highest quality wines. The owners have combined the conventional methods of grape farming with the latest environmental, viticultural, and cellar management criteria. In the modern cellar work, wines are stored in stainless steel and some in oak barrels. The winery creates luscious red, white, and sparkling wines along lovely dessert and rosé wines, all under the approved labels.

Steep Slope Vines, Excellent Grapes, and Guest Accomodations

The steep slopes of the region provide P.Stettler-Söhne Winery with excellent grapes to produce their Qualitätswein, Spätlese, Auslese, Beerenauslese, Eiswein, and Trockenbeerenauslese wines. The harvest is performed manually, and the juiciest berries are moved to the cellar for soft pressing and fermentation in tanks on the lees.

For guests who want to relax after a wine tasting or those who wish to stay longer, well-furnished apartments, equipped with numerous modern amenities are available at P.Stettler-Söhne. These rooms are specially designed for customer’s wine tasting needs.
