We visited for the annual market, and had a great time. There wee a good variety of vendors: pottery, cheese, herbs from Crete, and of course this year's vintage from the chateau's own vineyards.

We visited the wine cellar of the "Château d'Eclépens" during the open cellar days in early June. It was a nice discovery, we really enjoyed the wine and discussions with the enthusiastic and passionate owner. Very good selection of red wine, often aged in oak barrels and a couple of nice ideas including white wine and gamay rosé also aged in oak barrels which were very surprising. The design of the bottle is great and some are numbered. Even our French friends working in the wine business in Bordeaux admitted it was the best cellar we visited during the whole week end, so it is definitely a place to visit, taste wine and buy some, even if it looks a bit far from usual crowded wine cellars near Lausanne! The place is also very lovely!
