Bacchus Wine Tasting and Tour at Château du Payre

Château du Payre invites you to explore the winery and vineyards. (explanations on the winemaking work according to the seasons).

Be guided by the winegrower during all the Bacchus visit! Discover the vineyard, the grape varieties, the terroir and the choice of sustainable and reasoned viticulture. You will have access to the wine storehouse, tasting room and barrel cellar with details on how it is made during the harvest. You will watch a video on the history of the property, the different types of harvest (the video lasts 5 minutes) in the barrel cellar.

Afterward, you will have a wine tasting of 3 estate’s wines. Here you will taste White wines of the estate from Sémilon, Sauvignon Blanc, Sauvignon Gris, and Muscadelle grapes and Rosé, and Red wines from Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Malbec grapes.

The winery also propose a guided walking tour every Friday from 10 to 12:30 (from June 19 to July 31 – min 10 people). You will stroll in the vineyard (in organic conversion) with explanations about work, biodiversity, landscapes…. Picnic possible on the spot.
