Tenuta Dioscuri: A Legacy of Fine Wines
Passito white wine “Montonico” PGI Locride from Tenuta Dioscuri. The white Mantonico grapes seem to have arrived in Locris with the landing of the first Greek colonists in the 7th century BC. The name derives from the Greek mantonikos which means soothsayer, prophet. In fact, the wine obtained was used by the priests of ancient Locri Epizefiri to celebrate ceremonies. Wine with a characteristic amber colour, with hints of dried fruit and apricot and a strong and intense flavour.
