Bindella is Famous for its DOC & DOCG Wines & Olive Oils
Bindella, also known as Tenuta Vallocaia, is located in South East of Montepulciano, a short drive away from a scenic hilltop town. The estate-owned vineyards are spread over various sites of Montepulciano like Santa Maria, Paterno, Cervognano, etc., famous for the cultivation of flagship Tuscan variety, Sangiovese. In 2015, a new wine cellar was constructed adjacent to the old one to support more wine production.
A Passionate Tale that Began in 1983
After seeing Montepulciano’s potential for producing high-end wines, Rudi Bindella acquired the ancient structure of Tenuta Vallocia and its two-and-a-half hectares of vineyards. Over the years, the Bindella family’s focus is on expanding the winery operations by constructing a new cellar, bottling rooms, purchasing more land, etc. Today, the company owns more than 127 hectares of land, out of which 38 hectares are planted with grapes and 12 with olive groves.
Vineyards Enjoy Fertile Terroirs & Microclimate Throughout the Year
The unique and undisputed beauty of Montepulciano is reflected in every wine the company makes. Bindella replanted the old vineyards, which he bought over three decades. The parcels are cultivated with numerous vines, such as Sangiovese, Colorino and other local grapes. Some other international grape varietals are also grown, including Trebbiano, Malvasia, Sauvignon Blanc, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot.
