Caruso & Minini, in the Heart of Marsala

Caruso & Minini is producing exquisite wines in Marsala located in the beautiful region of western Sicily. This old courtyard, built-in 1904 in the heart of the traditional Marsala’s wine-cellar area, gives an amazing view of the lush countryside. Giumarella and Cuttaia, the family vineyards, covers an area of 120 hectares. They sit in the inland of the Trapani province between Salemi and Mazara del Vallo.

The Union of Two Family Wineries

The history of Caruso & Minini begins with the merging of two families estates. Stefano Caruso, the third generation of a winemaking family, met Mario Minini, owner of a marketing company in Northern Italy. In 2004, they shook hands and established the Caruso & Minini Winery. The collaboration of Caruso’s agricultural traditions and Minini’s sales expertise made the wines of the estate successful in 30 nations around the world. Giovanna and Rosanna, the daughters of Stefano, actively work with their fathers at Caruso & Minini Winery.

Best Climate Conditions for Excellent Wines

The positioning of the vineyard in the highest hills contributes to the production of rich-quality grapes for white wines. Also, for red wines, the cultivation of grapes takes place on the vineyard that situates on the valley bottom. The winery grows a wide range of local and international vines. The local varieties include Grillo, Catarratto, Inzolia, Nero d’Avola, and Perricone. For international types, they prefer growing Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Syrah, and Merlot.
