Estanica Los Cardones Reflect the Unique Characteristics of the Tolombón Terroir
Years ago, Alejandro Sejanovich and Jeff Mausbach undertook a project which has become a successful winery and true champion in Argentinian viticulture. Officially established in 2017, the wines of Estancia Los Cardones reflect the unique characteristics of the Tolombón terroir. Although the vineyard activities in Salta are now decades old, Estancia Los Cardones uses the grapes from the plants first planted in 2009. The cellar of the estate is constructed entirely out of stone extracted from the quarries surrounding the vineyards.
The walls of the Estancia Los Cardones are beautifully carved, which denotes the old winemaking traditions of the region.
Experience the Award-Winning Wines of Estancia Los Cardones
Surrounded by lush landscapes, the wines produced at Estancia Los Cardones are enriched with mineral rich soil, the purity of the surrounding region, and the hard work of the Saavedra Azcona Family. The family focuses on the production of Malbec. However, one can also discover top-quality Petit Verdot, Garnacha, and Cabernet Sauvignon, Torrontes and Marsanne. The aromas and organoleptic characteristics of the wines are truly intact, as the production staff hand harvests all grapes and moves the selected bunches to the cellar for further processing.
Built with thick stone walls, the cellar at Estancia Los Cardones offers a suitable temperature for the production of delicate, high-quality wines, including award-winning red and white wines, made within the Cafayate region. The wines of Estancia Los Cardones are stored in large stainless steel tanks and wooden barrels for efficient storage and aging.
