Story of the Winery
Bodega Burbujas De Altura was founded by the Hoy family, who fell in love with the stunning landscapes of Cafayate and the Calchaqui Valleys. In 2010, they acquired Finca La Primavera, a small estate with vineyards, marking the beginning of their winemaking adventure. The estate is surrounded by a unique desert environment, where cacti thrive. Tania Hoy, the winemaker and daughter of the family, brings fresh perspectives to the winery, thanks to her education in Oenology and experience in Mendoza and abroad. Her sister, Florencia, manages the winery's social media presence, while Gisel focuses on local sales. The family works together to create exceptional wines and memorable experiences for visitors.

The terroir of the Calchaqui Valleys, combined with a distinctive microclimate, creates perfect conditions for growing grapes. The region is known for its dominant varieties, including Torrontes, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, and Cabernet Franc. Bodega Burbujas De Altura specializes in a unique sparkling wine made from Torrontes grapes using the traditional champenoise method, a first in Argentina. This high-altitude production results in wines with remarkable aromas and flavors. In 2014, they introduced Burbujas de Altura sparkling wine, alongside their still wine, TINQUIAO. Each wine reflects the essence of the region and its exceptional terroir, making them a must-try for wine enthusiasts.
