The grape has a soul that tells the story of the landscape, the climate, the culture, and the cellar. Our guests can savor this complex experience, as Rókusfalvy Etyek harmonizes winemaking, relaxation, and gastronomy. We wanted to create a place where it feels good to escape from everyday life, whether just for an hour or for a whole weekend. Our story began in 1999 when Pál Rókusfalvy started cultivating the first parcel of vineyard. The initial annual production of 4 barrels at Rókusfalvy Estate has grown to 30,000 bottles, and we now farm 6 hectares of vineyard. We have been cultivating the vineyard without chemicals for nearly 12 years, having abandoned chemicals, herbicides, and artificial fertilizers in 2010.
At Rókusfalvy, winemaking is a family passion, with many relatives contributing their skills to the craft. The winery is dedicated to the future oRókusfalvy Estate hosts numerous events, with our picturesque event hall being a wonderful venue for weddings and events, capable of accommodating 180 people. We can also provide venues for smaller events, with our panoramic Champagne Terrace holding up to 50 people, our Press House up to 25 people, and our outdoor Covered Press accommodating up to 20 guests. In addition to our seasonal, thematic in-house events, we welcome visitors with guided wine tastings, E-Bike rentals and tours, and an open cellar program on weekends. We can also provide E-Bus transfers for our guests upon request

We spent 2 days in Etyek where we were lucky enough to try the wine hotel, the guesthouse (dinner) and the wine tasting at Rókusfaly Winery. The place itself, the dinner and the wines were phenomenal. We loved every minute of it!

We love Etyek, its cozy wine cellars, and its delicious wines, so there was no question we wouldn't miss the Rókusfalvy Winery's Sunday champagne brunch. Tables were already set up for guests on the estate's terrace, and upon arrival, the very friendly waiters greeted us with a glass of sparkling wine. I admit, I was expecting a somewhat larger buffet, but since sold-out items were constantly being replenished, it wasn't a problem. What else could we start with but an Egg Benedict, served here on a croissant base with bacon and baby spinach, the soft-boiled egg topped with siphon hollandaise sauce? We also sampled various hams and spreads, choosing from a variety of breads. A dark, dense triangular loaf went particularly well with it; I'm a little sorry I didn't ask which bakery made it. There were also Etyek cheese specialties, of which Greek hay is a perennial favorite, so I was glad we could snack on that now, but there were also lump and semi-hard cheeses. What I did cut down on was the vegetables. While some peppers, tomatoes, and cucumbers were finely chopped, it would have been worth taking advantage of the seasonality and preparing it with several types of tomatoes, onions, and lettuce. It's not a typical brunch dish, but they also made it with freshly roasted lamb and lecho, the latter traditionally prepared in a pot—it was delicious, but unfortunately very fatty and didn't go down well in this heat. For dessert, we could choose Caesar crumble, chocolate mousse, or tapioca pudding, but that was really beyond our means, if only because we sampled Etyek champagne and wines to our liking between courses. The only criticism is the cutlery. Environmental protection is important, but at such a price level, giving away a cardboard box and pre-packaged wooden cutlery for an elegant brunch is both depressing and sad. Otherwise, we had a very nice day in Etyek; we would be happy if it became a regular feature at the estate.
