Experience Handcrafted Wines in the Heart of Ararimu Valley
Nestled in the picturesque Ararimu Valley, just a scenic drive from downtown Auckland, Westbrook Winery stands as one of the region's oldest and most esteemed boutique wineries. The Ivicevich family, with a rich winemaking history dating back to the 1880s in Croatia, brought their passion for viticulture to New Zealand in 1934. They initially established their vineyard in Sunnyvale, West Auckland, before relocating to the Waimauku property in 1999.
Established in 1935, Westbrook is a cornerstone of Auckland's wine scene.
Today, Westbrook Winery continues to thrive under the stewardship of a new wine-loving family, while the original winemaking team remains intact. Led by winemaker James Rowan, they honor the winery's legacy by blending traditional methods with innovative practices. Grapes are hand-picked from the home vineyard in Waimauku, as well as from a single vineyard in Marlborough and Waiheke Island. This meticulous approach results in award-winning wines, including exceptional Chardonnays and Rieslings. Each bottle of Westbrook wine captures the unique flavors and diversity of Aotearoa New Zealand, making it a must-try for wine enthusiasts.
Whether you're a local or a visitor, Westbrook Winery offers a genuine taste of Auckland's winemaking heritage.
