Yorkshire Heart Vineyard produces wines from grapes grown at our vineyard at Nun Monkton, between York and Harrogate. Our vines are nurtured throughout the year by our passionate team, then handpicked during our Autumn harvest by a wonderful team of volunteers and friends.

The grapes are processed on–site in our winery, overseen by chief winemaker Gillian Spakouskas who carefully monitors the wines during a 12-month fermentation and maturation period. They are then stabilised before filtering, bottling, labelling and packing in-house.

From grape to glass, everything is done on site.

We are immensely proud of our business that creates fine artisan Yorkshire products by our very hard–working team. Through their dedication and passion, we are able to create unique and beautiful tasting reds, whites, rosés and sparkling wines.

Good beers and brewery tour, good vineyard tour and nice wines. Lovely spot for camping, with the only disappointment being the breakfast with beans, sausage and mushrooms not very nice, but eggs, toast and hash browns were nice...the streaky bacon is not for us but okay. Overall the weekend camping amongst the vines was good value.

Family run winery with a brilliant tour followed by delicious meat platter. Hear how a mother’s little hobby turned into a thriving business. Sample great local wines and food. Or just pop in to use the excellent cafe. Bring your dog. They love them here. They have camping too.

We had such a lovely time at Yorkshire Heart Vineyard & Brewery 🍷 The wine tasting was fantastic — smooth, fresh and full of flavour. The staff were incredibly friendly and made the whole experience feel like visiting friends rather than a formal tour ❤️ We also stayed for a light lunch — I had the meat option, my husband went for the fish, both delicious! I couldn’t resist trying their Christmas ale too 😄 The vineyard itself is beautiful, peaceful and full of charm. You can really feel the passion and care behind everything they do. One of the most enjoyable experiences we’ve had this year — highly recommended! 🌿🍷

We just returned from a glamping weekend, with brewery tour / beer tasting and same for the vineyard / winery. It’s a pleasant venue, especially when the weather is favourable. Very friendly service from this family run establishment. We weren’t too keen on the wine, but that’s subjective. The food was pretty poor in our opinion. We had dinner after the brewery tour and lunch after the wine tasting. Both were rather meagre and of low quality. The vegan pie was particularly disappointing. Breakfast is not served until 09:30, there’s nothing available until then, no coffee, nothing. Similarly in the evenings, things closed down rather early, around 8 pm on Saturday. Bear in mind that the venue is in quite an isolated location. There’s a lovely pub in Nun Monkton village, around 20 mins walk away, and nothing else within easy walking distance. So, if you’re staying over, perhaps best to bring some of your own drinks & snacks etc. Perhaps consider dining in the village pub also. Otherwise it’s a lovely experience.

I was given this as a retirement gift and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The history of the vineyard was explained in detail before heading out to the vineyard to be told more about the process of planting vines and the grape varieties used. After a visit to the area where the grapes are pressed it was back to the marquee where we sampled a red, white and rose wine accompanied by a meat, cheese and chocolate spread. We had the lunch included within the gift and I can recommend the food as it was excellent. It was a worthwhile visit that I can recommend
