We decided to tell you a short story of Negroni Sbagliato and share our favourite Proseccos you can use in this beautiful cocktail.

History of Negroni Sbagliato

Negroni Sbagliato(mistaken Negroni) is a Made-in-Milan Cocktail. It was born by a lucky accident of a bartender Mirko Stocchetto in Milan in 1972 at Bar Basso. Negroni lovers tend to disagree about how the famous cocktail was created, but some say that it's from when a bartender accidentally grabbed a bottle of prosecco and gin while making it. Prosecco wine makes Negroni Sbagliato lighter for those who don’t like strong drinks. The drink has become very popular in the past few years and has been voted as one of the best cocktails in the world and an iconic symbol of Milano.

The Negroni Sbagliato is a cocktail with a bittersweet taste that is made up of Gin, Campari and Prosecco. Prosecco is what makes Negroni Sbagliato stand out from the origianal drink. It may seem like it's difficult to find the perfect Prosecco to use in this cocktail but it's actually not. The most important thing is to find one that has a high level of acidity and enough sweetness so it doesn't overpower the gin and Campari flavors.
