Viticulture
It is a wine from Montsant in its purest state, from vineyards in the southernmost part of the Montsant (54 years old) with a limestone soil and sandy silt, where the best carignan vines of the whole area are found. Elegance, high complexity and perfect balance. A wine for special occasions!
Vinification
•Extraction of phenolic compounds through pumping-over and "pigeage" (punching the cap). Aging 16 months in French oak barrels of 400 liters and terracotta amphorae with its fine lees (bâtonnage). Subsequently a minimum of 3 years in the bottle before going on the market. Production limited to 1000 bottles 75 Cl (approximate production depending on the vintage)
Tasting Notes
•Very elegant and complex. A very fresh start with berries and Mediterranean garrigue herbs, the evolution towards ripe red fruit, chocolate, and hints of mint and tobacco.
