A Historic Winery in Neive, Piedmont, Crafting Quality Wines
Producing Around 20,000 Bottles Annually
Located in the picturesque village of Neive, Piedmont, Azienda Agricola Pasquale Pelissero is a family-run winery that has deep roots in the region's winemaking tradition. With a stunning view of the estate's eight hectares of vineyards, the winery produces around 20,000 bottles of wine each year, including a variety of spirits and alcoholic beverages distributed throughout Italy.
A Legacy from Borgata Pelisseri
The winery's history dates back to 1921 when the Pelissero family acquired the ancient farmhouse, Cascina Crosa, originally owned by the noble Counts Cocito. Giovanni and Giuseppe Pelissero began by supplying grapes to local wineries. After their families grew, Giuseppe's son, Pasquale, took over the business and launched the first Barbaresco in 1971. Following Pasquale's passing in 2007, his daughter Ornella and her son Simone have continued the family legacy, producing high-quality DOC and DOCG wines with dedication and care.
Traditional Practices for Exceptional Vines
At Azienda Agricola Pasquale Pelissero, respect for nature and traditional winemaking practices are paramount. The winery cultivates a diverse range of grapes, including Nebbiolo, Barbera, Dolcetto, Moscato, Favorita, and Chardonnay, as well as Cortese, Sauvignon, Vermentino, Albarola, and Bosco. The aging process takes place in 25 to 30 hl French oak barrels, ensuring that each wine reflects the unique terroir of the region.
