Crafting Traditional Wines in Calabria Since 1963
The Legacy of Caparra & Siciliani
The Caparra and Siciliani family has been intertwined with the wine industry since the 1800s, establishing a rich tradition of winemaking in Calabria. In 1963, after years of dedication to their craft, they launched the ‘Caparra & Siciliani’ label. The winery is situated in the renowned “Cirò” area, where family members cultivate grapes from their own vineyards. Spanning over 213 hectares, the estate utilizes modern technology in its cellars to produce an impressive 31,000 hectoliters of wine each year. Each bottle is carefully selected, ensuring only the finest quality reaches consumers.
Vines and Wines of Calabria
Located along the picturesque Ionian coast in the province of Crotone, the municipalities of Cirò and Cirò Marina boast a landscape rich in history and natural beauty. The region is characterized by Alberello vineyards, ancient olive groves, and historical ruins. Recognized in May 1952 for its deep-rooted heritage, the area is ideal for viticulture, thanks to its fertile land and favorable climate. The combination of rolling hills and proximity to the sea creates the perfect environment for growing high-quality grapes, making it a prime location for wine production.
